Random thought, Muggle Music Appreciation class could have been a cool elective class, maybe it could have been included in the Muggle Studies courses.

I fucking love this moment- these hobbits don’t know what he is talking about, but Gandalf understands him straight away, and gets the humour. I think it sort of mirrors the way none of the other hobbits can truly understand his journey or his experiences, and it explains part of why he is leaving. It’s like instant foreshadowing, subconscious narrative to explain what’s going on to people who don’t know the story of the hobbit.
